“It’s the people that make Forster what it is, professional, hard working, ethical and all passionate about what they do.
I joined in 2005 and whizzed around our construction sites, clad in PPE, climbing scaffolds, taking the time to meet all of our people. This experience was invaluable; I quickly learned the business, the working environment and opportunities within the industry, which in turn allowed me to create systems to assist in the management and development of our people.
To list a few, we operate a bespoke job chat system, have a fully CSCS carded workforce, introduced E Learning, set up a Training Group and formalised a Trainee Development Programme linked to qualification covering Surveying, Purchasing and Office Administration.
The future is looking bright with renewing our IIP Accreditation and the creation of our own Forster Apprenticeship at the top of the development agenda."
