Re-Slating Farm Steading Conversion
We were appointed by Morrison Homes to undertake the re-slating work on the conversion of farm steadings to residential units. Positioned close to the Forth Road Bridge, just off the A8000, it is a superb secluded location close to Edinburgh and access to the motorway network.
Initially our contract was to strip and re-slate Scotch Slate for the installation of new leadwork, features, etc. This extended to extensive stripping and re-slating of the roofs and slating new build garages as the development progressed.
Getting sufficient quantities of quality Second Hand Scotch Slate to make up shortfalls proved testing, given the limited availability of this product. However, our extensive supplier contacts and market knowledge allowed us to source and procure to suit the site demand.
